Wesley Mission Queensland’s Hadden Place Day and Overnight Respite Centre is seeking Activity and Kitchen Support Volunteers who will assist staff in creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for members. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to engage with people, provide practical support, and contribute to a positive experience for everyone attending the centre.
Activity and Kitchen Support Volunteers can help members by:
- Plating and preparing morning tea and lunch for members.
- Serving meals and refreshments.
- Assisting with cleaning and tidying the kitchen following meal preparation and service.
- Supporting members to participate in activities and social programs.
- Encouraging members to engage in a variety of recreational and social activities, including puzzles, arts and crafts, word games, and group activities.
- Helping create a warm, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all members.
Volunteer hours are available on Fridays between 9:00am and 4:00pm, with morning, afternoon, or full-day sessions available to suit your availability.

Volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan, provide proof they have received one primary COVID-19 vaccinations before commencement and do not provide personal care.
