The Secretary works closely with the President and other Executive Council members to support and represent members of the SESVA.
This key governance role supports Association communications, meetings, records management, newsletters, and the supervision of a paid staff member.
This is a volunteer position and is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, and committed to supporting volunteers and good governance practices.
Skills and Experience Sought
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and reliability
- Interest in governance, compliance, and volunteer advocacy
- Experience in meeting administration, including preparing agendas and taking minutes (desirable)

The SES Volunteers Association of WA Inc.
The SESVA of WA was formed in the late 1980’s with the objective of representing the views of State Emergency Service (SES) Volunteers on issues that affect them.
The SESVA has developed the ability to strongly voice the opinion of the volunteers where, when necessary, to the benefit of all the volunteers of the SES in WA, where the action of a single volunteer or small group would not be as effective.
The SESVA represents SES volunteers on committees and working groups and has regular meetings with Dept of Fire and Emergency Service executives and Managers.
