Key duties you need the volunteer to do
Visit patients across three hospital wards and provide friendly conversation and companionship. Assist with small comfort requests, such as offering a cup of tea or coffee, an extra pillow or other appropriate non-clinical support. Volunteers will help create a positive and welcoming experience for patients.
Skills and experience needed to do the role
We are looking for friendly, compassionate and reliable people who enjoy talking with others and are good listeners. No previous hospital or volunteering experience is required. Volunteers must be comfortable approaching and engaging with people from a range of backgrounds.
