Just one hour a week can make a real difference.
We’re seeking a friendly, reliable volunteer to spend one on one time with a lovely lady who lives at home and enjoys great conversation about your shared interests.
✨ What you’ll do
- Enjoy relaxed chats about gardening, plants and produce
- Enjoy watching a movie and doing crosswords or puzzles together
- Offer companionship, conversation, and connection
👤 This role would suit someone who is:
- Warm, patient, and a good listener
- Reliable and able to give a little bit of time each week or fortnight
- Keen to build a genuine friendship
No special skills or experience are needed — just empathy, consistency, and a genuine willingness to connect.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
