What does a typical day look like in a Shop?

In your 4-hour shift (or more if you like) you’ll be doing a variety of tasks like:

• Welcoming and engaging customers
• Processing transactions through point of sale, including cash and eftpos payments
• Sorting and pricing donations
• Creating vibrant displays to attract shoppers
• Keeping the shop clean and tidy
• Following all shop processes

What are we looking for?

• We are seeking someone available on Friday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
• Friendly and positive attitude
• Sociable and engaging with others
• Happy to work as part of a team
• Flexible and willing to help with a variety of shop tasks
• Reliable and able to commit to your nominated shift
• At least 15 years old

What’s the application process?

• Submit your application – no resume required.
• If a suitable opportunity is available, you'll be invited to meet with the Store Manager to learn more about the role and tell us a little about yourself and your interest in volunteering.
• If it feels like a good fit for everyone, we'll guide you through a short onboarding process before you start. Onboarding includes:
• Completing a National Police Check
• Online induction and training
• Reviewing key Red Cross policies
• Additional screening requirements may apply if you have not lived continuously in Australia for the past 12 months.
