IT Manager
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance
- Keep WordPress core, themes, and plugins up to date
- Remove unused or outdated plugins and themes
- Monitor site uptime and performance
- Test updates before pushing live
Backups & Recovery
- Schedule and manage regular automated backups (files and database)
- Store backups securely off-site/cloud
- Periodically test backup restoration
- Maintain a basic disaster recovery plan
Forms & Data
- Ensure all website forms (contact, volunteer sign-up, donations) are functioning correctly
- Regularly export and securely back up form submission data
- Support compliance with Australian Privacy Principles for data handling
- Manage and test payment/donation gateway integrations
SEO & Analytics
- Set up and maintain Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Monitor site speed and overall performance
- Identify and fix broken links or redirect issues
- Maintain the site's XML sitemap
Integrations
- Manage Google Ads account and website tracking
- Connect and maintain social media feeds/embeds on the site
- Manage third-party plugin integrations and API keys
- Support Google Workspace-related integrations as needed
What We're Looking For
- Experience with WordPress website management
- Understanding of website security, backups, and data privacy best practices
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Search Console, and Google Ads
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, volunteer capacity
- A genuine interest in supporting youth mental health initiatives
