Location: Adelaide-based only (Hybrid)
*Commitment: Average 5 to 8 per weeks

*****This role offers flexible working arrangements, allowing tasks to be completed at times that suit your schedule across the week. Please note that attendance at team meetings and availability to lead/support the team when required are essential expectations of the role. 

Role Summary:

CLCN is seeking a Volunteer People & Culture Assistant to support our People & Culture Team. In this role, you will work closely with the People & Culture Team Leader and collaborate with hiring managers and internal CLCN teams to support recruitment, onboarding, and volunteer engagement initiatives.

The position involves contributing to end-to-end recruitment, onboarding processes, HR administration, and volunteer experience initiatives, while helping deliver people-focused operations that support a strong, engaged, and inclusive volunteer workforce.

This opportunity allows volunteers to gain practical HR and people operations experience, develop professional skills, and contribute to meaningful work that supports a multicultural and purpose-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities

As the People & Culture Assistant, you will:

  • Assist with end-to-end recruitment including job ads, screening, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Support onboarding processes including offer letters, documentation, and volunteer setup.
  • Coordinate volunteer inductions and onboarding activities.
  • Maintain and update volunteer records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Assist with probation reviews, exit interviews, and general HR administration.
  • Liaise with hiring managers to support recruitment needs and position descriptions.
  • Support internal people initiatives, engagement activities, and team operations.
  • Provide administrative support for team projects and internal activities.
