Volunteer Board Director Opportunity

Help shape the future of an organisation that connects people, communities and essential services across regional New South Wales. 

Coast and Country Community Services Ltd (CCCS) is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to enabling people to connect with and participate in their communities. Through Community Transport, NDIS supports, Meals on Wheels, social support programs and other community services, we help people build independence, maintain connections and improve quality of life. 

Since its formation in 2014, CCCS has grown significantly, bringing together community transport and support services across the Shoalhaven, Hilltops, Weddin, Bega Valley, Kiama and Wollongong-Shellharbour regions. As CCCS continues to evolve, we are seeking passionate and community-minded individuals to join our voluntary Board of Directors. 

About the Role 

As a Board Director, you will contribute to the governance, strategic direction and long-term sustainability of CCCS. Working  with the Board of Directors and the Executive Team, you will help ensure CCCS continues to deliver high-quality services that respond to the changing needs of our communities. 

Board Members are expected to attend approximately four Board meetings each year, as well as the AGM, review Board papers and meeting materials in advance, and contribute to Board discussions and decision-making. Board Members may also be invited to participate in Board committees, strategic planning activities and key organisational events.

This is a voluntary position.

• Have experience in areas such as community leadership, finance, risk, people and culture, community services, transport, education, legal, technology, government-funded services and  organisational growth

• Want to contribute to an organisation that helps bridge gaps, overcome disadvantage and create meaningful community connections

Whether your experience comes from community involvement, volunteering, professional leadership, governance roles or lived experience, we recognise that strong Boards are built on a diversity of perspectives. Previous Board experience is welcome but not essential.
