How we do it
Across the country, First Nations communities invite us to walk alongside them to build partnerships that support their goals, there way. Every project starts with listening. We sit down together to yarn, share stories and plan. Then, we connect skilled volunteers with communities to help bring those plans to life, always guided by what the community decides and leads. Community First Development volunteers are invited by communities to support the community goals they set.
About the opportunity
Community First Development has partnered with a Queensland based First Nations-owned organisation that provides support, mentoring and guidance to women in trade industries. They are seeking volunteer support to strengthen their communications, branding and social media engagement. The volunteer will help develop a clear and practical communications and marketing approach that supports community-led goals and promotes respectful public engagement.
Project objectives
- Work in partnership to develop a communications and marketing strategy
- Improve engagement across website and other digital/social platforms
- Ensure consistent brand and messaging across all platforms
Skills/experience required
- Industry qualifications and/or relevant experience in marketing
- Experience in working across multiple social media and professional platforms
- Ability to work respectfully alongside First Nations people
