For over a decade, Boroondara Family Network has provided free, confidential, in-home support to mothers with babies and young children through trained volunteers — helping them build confidence, reduce isolation, and connect with their community.

We’re strengthening our Committee and are looking for a General Committee Member to help steer our strategy, governance and long-term sustainability.

You’ll help us:

• Set strategic direction and oversee the organisation’s health.
• Strengthen governance, risk management and financial oversight.
• Build a more sustainable funding base, including supporting grant applications.

We’re looking for someone who shares our mission and brings skills in any of: governance, finance, marketing, fundraising, law, community services or general management. Prior board or not-for-profit experience is welcome but not essential — commitment and good judgement matter most.

The commitment is meaningful but manageable: around eight to eleven meetings a year plus preparation, sub-committee work and active support across committee portfolios and grant applications — approximately 6–8 hours per month on average, with occasional peaks during grant rounds. A Working with Children Check is required.
