The role of the Volunteer – Volunteer Experience has been created to assist the Associate Director (AD) and Deputy Associate Director (DAD) in increasing the value proposition for members by ensuring volunteers are fully engaged to deliver value to our members.

Role Responsibilities:

-Develop and Standardise Volunteer Management Processes: Establish, document, and maintain end-to-end processes for volunteer recruitment, onboarding, development, and transition of PMI Queensland volunteers

-Establish Portfolio Documentation and Frameworks: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including policies, procedures, templates, and role descriptions, to support effective and compliant volunteer management practices.

-Implement Structured Project Management Approaches: Apply project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor Volunteer Experience initiatives

-Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Conduct regular reviews of portfolio operations to identify opportunities for process optimisation, increased efficiency, and enhanced volunteer engagement and satisfaction.

-Support Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop tools and reporting mechanisms to track volunteer metrics, analyse trends, and provide insights that inform strategic planning and portfolio enhancement.

Experience
-Minimum 1 year experience in volunteer coordination, HR support, or community engagement.

-Familiarity with recruitment, onboarding, or volunteer lifecycle processes.

-Minimum 1 year experience working with diverse teams or in not-for-profit environments.

-Exposure to planning or supporting events, especially appreciation or networking events.

-Experience using digital tools for communication, documentation, or volunteer management (e.g. email, Microsoft 365, spreadsheets, or volunteer platforms).

Education and Training:
-Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Community Development, or a related field

-Ongoing professional development or interest in not-for-profit or volunteer engagement (valued).
