About the Role
As a Volunteer Bus Driver, you will safely transport residents to and from local outings, providing a friendly and welcoming experience along the way. Your support helps our residents stay connected, active and engaged in the community.
Commitment
- Flexible days based on your availability
- 9:30am to 12:30pm
- Ongoing volunteer opportunity
What You'll Do
- Drive the residence bus to scheduled outings and activities
- Assist residents with embarking and disembarking where required
- Create a positive and enjoyable experience for passengers
- Follow safe driving practices and organisational procedures
Skills & Qualities
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
- Safe and confident driver with a good driving record
- Hold a current First Aid & CPR certificate or be willing to get one (reimbursed)
- Friendly, patient and reliable
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support older people with dignity and respect
