About EdConnect

EdConnect has been training and supporting volunteers in schools across Australia for over 20 years. We work alongside schools to provide a vital support network for young people who may be at risk of disengaging from education, helping to improve both their academic outcomes and overall wellbeing.

Your Role

We are currently seeking committed volunteers who can support primary school students for the remainder of this school year, with the opportunity to continue into the following year if you are willing and able to do so. This is a small but meaningful commitment of just 1–2 hours per week during school hours.

We are looking for volunteers who have skills, interests, hobbies or time they would like to share with students through lunch clubs, small breakout sessions or supporting learning in the classroom. Whether it’s sport, craft, games, music, gardening or STEM, your involvement can help create engaging and supportive experiences for students

No prior school experience is required - just a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine desire to support young people to succeed.

Please note: This is a volunteer role and is not suitable for student placements or those seeking employment opportunities.

Who This Would Suit

Our volunteers come from all walks of life. This opportunity may suit you if you are:

Looking to give back to your community Recently retired or semi-retired A parent or caregiver with available time during school hours Someone passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing and education

By volunteering with EdConnect, you will:

Make a meaningful difference in a young person’s life Support students facing additional challenges Build connections within your local community Experience a strong sense of purpose, contribution, and wellbeing

If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you. Visit our website to register your interest or call us on 1800 668 550.
