Administration Support
The Community Information Centre Townsville (CIC) provides a free comprehensive information service to the Townsville community, supported by dedicated volunteers who staff the service five days a week and at special events. Volunteers contribute across multiple areas including welcome packs, directories, front‑desk operations, expos, book crossing, online services and brochures.
The administration role supports customer service and the daily operations of the organisation.
Some key duties include:
- Customer Service and assisting community members with enquiries at the front desk and by phone.
- Updating, inputting and editing information in CIC databases and publications.
- General office tasks such as typing, photocopying, filing and light cleaning.
Additional duties you may be interested in:
- Organising brochures, checking noticeboards, social media and newspapers for new information.
- Supporting events by staffing information stalls.

- Support on managing the different services we offer within the organisation - individual tasks and projects you would like to manage.
