Korean Language Tutor – Community Learning Program (Eastwood)

CCA NSW is seeking a Korean Language Tutor to facilitate a community-based Korean language class as part of our Community Learning program. The role will commence from Mid-October and involves teaching a friendly and enthusiastic group of learners.

Classes are held:

  • Day: Tuesday
  • Time: 1:30 – 2:45 pm
  • Location: Eastwood Uniting Church

The class focuses on basic conversational Korean, cultural understanding, and enjoyable learning at a comfortable pace.

Key Duties

  • Plan and deliver beginner-friendly Korean language lessons
  • Support learners with speaking, listening, reading, and basic writing skills
  • Encourage participation and create a positive, inclusive learning environment
  • Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and abilities
  • Work collaboratively with CCA NSW staff to support the program

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Proficiency in spoken and written Korean
  • Experience teaching or tutoring (formal or informal) is desirable
  • Friendly, patient, and encouraging communication style
  • Ability to engage with adults from diverse backgrounds
  • Reliability and commitment to regular sessions
