Do you speak German? Share Your Language & Culture with an Older Person

We are looking for a warm and friendly German-speaking volunteer to visit an older person and provide companionship through meaningful social connection at a facility in Auburn.

Visits may include enjoying conversations in German, reminiscing about life experiences, spending time outdoors in the sunshine or shade, joining in women’s social activities, and sharing relaxing moments such as gentle pampering or self-care activities.

This is a wonderful opportunity to brighten someone’s day, celebrate their language and culture, and build a genuine connection through conversation, kindness, and companionship.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) supports older people to reduce social isolation and develop meaningful friendships through regular visits.
