Picnic in the Park - Event Volunteers Needed for a fun School Holiday activity

Make a difference for local families during the school holidays!
We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with our Picnic in the Park community event. This fun and welcoming school holiday activity brings together families, children and young people for an afternoon of connection, food and recreation.
About the Event
The Picnic in the Park school holiday activity is open to families with young children and young people. Some young people may attend independently, while children under 12 years of age will be accompanied by a parent or carer.
Volunteers will be supported and supervised throughout the day by Wesley Mission staff.

Volunteer Duties
- Assist Wesley staff with event set-up
- Help prepare and serve food
- Support children's and youth games and activities
- Assist with pack down and site clean-up
Requirements
✅ Friendly and positive attitude
✅ Enjoy working with children, young people and families
✅ Ability to engage respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds
✅ Reliable and punctual
✅ Ability to follow staff directions and adhere to Wesley's child-safe practices
✅ Comfortable participating in outdoor activities and light physical tasks such as setting up, serving food, and packing down
✅ Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one (free for volunteers)
