Volunteer Board Secretary / Governance Role – Queensland Sporting Organisation

I’m sounding out interest for an upcoming volunteer Board Secretary/Governance role with a growing Queensland state sporting association.

We are particularly interested in someone with experience in governance, board/committee secretariat, executive administration or a similar professional environment.

The role would focus primarily on governance — agendas, minutes, resolutions, statutory records, AGM requirements and good governance processes — rather than carrying the broader operational administration of the organisation.

The organisation is well established, financially sound and entering an exciting period of growth.

This could particularly suit someone semi-retired, recently retired, or simply looking to contribute their professional skills to community sport.
