Aged Care Volunteer

We are seeking compassionate and friendly volunteers who would like to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents and their families. Aged Care Volunteers provide social, emotional, and recreational support to residents by helping create opportunities for connection, engagement, and enjoyment.

Volunteer activities may include:

• Spending time with residents on a one-on-one basis through conversation and companionship

• Supporting residents to maintain social connections and reduce feelings of isolation

• Assisting with group activities such as:

o Arts and crafts

o Men’s Shed activities

o Gardening

o Playing music or singing

o Games and social activities

• Supporting lifestyle programs and recreational activities based on residents’ interests and needs

• Providing a welcoming presence for residents and their families

Each residential area has its own task-specific volunteer role description, and volunteers are matched to activities that best suit the needs of residents and the service.
