About I AM SOMEONE

I AM SOMEONE is an Australian grassroots charity working across Uganda, Kenya and Sierra Leone to provide education, safe housing, food security and community-led development for children and families facing extreme disadvantage.

Founded by Steve Argent over 20 years ago, IAS has quietly created extraordinary long-term impact, yet very few people outside of its direct community know the full story.

We are now entering a growth phase focused on increasing awareness, recognition and national visibility, and this role is at the heart of that mission.

Purpose of the Role

This role exists to amplify the story and impact I AM SOMEONE through:

• Articles
• Monthly newsletter updates
• storytelling campaigns

You will be the person who turns real impact into short form and long form stories, ensuring that the work being done on the ground is seen, honoured and celebrated, helping to keep engaged our current supporters, and attract new supporters.

What You’ll Be Working With

You’ll be provided with:

Digital Content & SEO

  • Incorporate relevant keywords and basic SEO principles into website articles to support IAS’s online visibility and reach.
