Social Support Volunteer: In-Home Visits to Elderly Man | Newport

As part of the federally funded Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), we are seeking a friendly and reliable volunteer to visit an elderly gentleman living independently in Newport.

He uses a wheelchair and has a visual impairment and would enjoy getting out for a drive and a coffee with a volunteer. A vehicle with enough space to transport a wheelchair and four-wheel walker (4WW) is required.

Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one visit per fortnight to build a meaningful friendship and help reduce social isolation.

No previous experience is required. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
