Consumer Advisor – Quality Committee

As a Consumer Advisor, you will play an important role in providing a consumer and community perspective to support the delivery of safe, high-quality care. You will work collaboratively with staff and other committee members to help shape continuous improvement, policies, and safe care.
Key Attributes and Experience
We welcome expressions of interest from individuals who demonstrate:
- Lived experience of healthcare, either as a client or as a carer
- A willingness to speak up respectfully and advocate for consumer and community needs
- Confidence in asking questions and contributing to discussions
- The ability to actively listen and consider diverse perspectives
- A genuine interest in improving healthcare services and consumer outcomes
- Availability to attend monthly meetings (in person and/or online)
- Basic skills in using Microsoft Teams and email for communication
- Openness to learning and developing knowledge in healthcare quality and safety
- Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Previous experience in consumer advocacy (desirable but not essential)
