Lifeline Gippsland Op Shop - Warehouse Driver and Logistics Volunteers - Morwell

Volunteer in Our Warehouse and Transport Support Team
Volunteering with Lifeline Gippsland is a great way to give back to your community while helping fund vital suicide prevention and crisis support services across Gippsland and Cardinia. Many of our volunteers tell us they find it incredibly rewarding to be part of a team making a real difference.
Our warehouse is the hub of our retail operations, supporting all Lifeline Gippsland shops across the region. Volunteers play an important role in sorting and processing the thousands of donated items we receive each year, including clothing, books, homewares, toys and bric-a-brac.
Warehouse volunteers assist with:
- Sorting, categorising and quality-checking donated goods
- Preparing stock for distribution to our retail shops
- Organising and maintaining warehouse storage areas
- Cutting and preparing rags for our rag sales program
- Keeping the warehouse clean, safe and well-organised
- Supporting our sustainability initiatives by helping divert as much reusable material as possible from landfill
Our warehouse team also supports a network of truck routes that service all Lifeline Gippsland retail stores and other small partner op shops. These routes collect excess donations and transport them back to the warehouse for sorting and processing. Once items have been assessed and prepared, stock is redistributed from the warehouse to shops across the region, ensuring each store has a variety of quality goods available for sale.
By volunteering with our warehouse operations, you'll be contributing directly to a circular economy approach that gives donated items a second life, reduces waste, and helps generate funds that support Lifeline's mission.
No previous experience is required, no minimum time committment. We provide all the training, guidance and support you need. If you enjoy practical, hands-on work, want to be part of a friendly and supportive team, and are passionate about sustainability and community impact, we'd love to hear from you.
