CatholicCare Sydney is currently seeking a caring companion for an elderly gentleman living in a Residential Aged Care Home in the Glenhaven area. 🏡👴
This resident would appreciate a new friend to visit and sit with him each week. As he is immobile, having a companion to sit with, listen to and keep him company each week can go a very long way. 💕👂
Sometimes, the simplest things a friendly conversation, a shared laugh or simply having someone there can make someone's day. ☕😊💬

Our Companion Volunteer Program helps older people feel connected, valued and supported through the gift of friendship. A simple visit, shared conversation or enjoyable outing can have a profound impact on someone's quality of life. 💛🌈
Just one hour per week can bring great joy and hope to those in need, and our volunteers often find themselves being the ones most rewarded. 🥰✨
🌷 We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
- 😊 Friendly, patient and reliable
- 👂 A good listener who enjoys spending time with older people
- 📍 Located in the Glenhaven area or surrounds, with reliable transport
- ⏰ Able to commit to 1–2 hours each week on an ongoing basis
No previous experience is necessary. CatholicCare Sydney provides training, ongoing support and all required screening before you begin volunteering. 🎓💙
