About the Program Wardli is a thriving community hub in Christie Downs, home to the Wardli Youth Centre, Neporendi Aboriginal Community Centre, community programs, tenants and a range of venue hire activities. As one of the first points of contact for visitors, Reception & Operations Support Volunteers help create a welcoming, inclusive and culturally safe environment while supporting the day-to-day operations of the precinct. Key Tasks · Welcome visitors, community members, tenants and program participants. · Assist with enquiries and direct people to programs, services and locations within the precinct. · Support visitor registration, bookings and room scheduling activities. · Assist with room setup and preparation for programs, meetings and venue hire activities. · Provide general administrative support to staff. · Help maintain organised, welcoming and functional community spaces. · Promote a positive, inclusive and culturally safe environment for all visitors. · Participate in volunteer training and development opportunities Skills/Knowledge/Personal Qualities · Friendly, welcoming and customer-focused. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. · Well organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment. · Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. · Ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Respectful, professional and able to maintain confidentiality. · Interest in community services, youth engagement and community development. Time Commitment Rostered positions available weekly from 9:30am to 4pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
