The Gawler Community Gallery is seeking a capable, organised volunteer to take a lead role in coordinating our gallery gift shop. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with artists, is confident with technology, and is comfortable managing small operational systems.

About the role
The Gift Shop Coordinator oversees the smooth running of our retail space, ensuring items are well‑presented, accurately recorded, and regularly refreshed. You will work closely with artists and gallery members to maintain a vibrant, high‑quality selection of handmade goods.

Key responsibilities
• Liaise with artists and members to source and procure new items
• Upload and maintain product listings in Square, including using an Excel‑based import template
• Create and manage barcodes using Label Live software
• Monitor sales data and identify items that need rotation or replacement
• Ensure fair opportunities for members to display their work
• Maintain tidy, appealing presentation of the gift shop
• Support the gallery’s broader retail processes and stock workflows

Skills and experience
This role requires more than basic computer use. You will need to be comfortable:
• Navigating online systems such as Square
• Working with structured Excel templates
• Using desktop software (Label Live) to generate barcodes
• Following digital workflows with accuracy and attention to detail

Full training and support will be provided, but confidence with technology is essential.

Time commitment
Around 4–8 hours per month, with the freedom to complete tasks whenever it best fits your schedule.
