SICILIAN Volunteer for Lady with Dementia in Templestowe

We are seeking a friendly, Italian-speaking volunteer to visit a Sicilian lady living in aged care in Templestowe.
Our recipient lives with dementia, so a patient, kind and empathetic volunteer is required.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) exists to brighten the lives of socially isolated older people through the friendship of our wonderful volunteers.
Visits times are flexible (typically 1 hour per week) and we ask for a commitment of at least 6 months. Visits usually involve chatting over a coffee, going for a gentle walk, reading a book or playing a board game.
The successful applicant will have a warm, caring, reliable nature and be up for the challenge of supporting a person experiencing the ups and downs of dementia and the ageing process.
ACVVS is funded by the Australian Government and delivered by MS Plus. MS Plus is a childsafe organisation with a Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy.
