Rethink Australia Foundation Ltd is a youth-led environmental organisation empowering students and schools to drive sustainability through education, technology and community action.
Our work brings together environmental education, student leadership, technology-enabled solutions and partnerships to create meaningful and measurable change. As Rethink Australia grows, we are seeking an experienced Brand Strategy Advisor to help establish a distinctive, credible and enduring organisational identity.
The volunteer will provide strategic guidance on how Rethink Australia presents itself to corporate partners, government, philanthropic organisations, schools and the wider community.
Key responsibilities
• Advise on organisational brand positioning and identity
• Help define the principles and attributes that should guide the Rethink Australia brand
• Provide direction on a wordmark, colour palette, typography and broader visual identity
• Advise on photography, imagery and communications style
• Review existing website, presentation and stakeholder-facing materials from a brand perspective
• Help translate the agreed direction into practical brand guidelines
• Provide strategic input on the selection or briefing of designers and other creative partners
About you
We are seeking a skilled professional with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Brand strategy and positioning
• Corporate or institutional branding
• Visual identity development
• Creative direction
• Corporate communications
• In-house or agency brand management
Experience developing or managing brands for corporations, professional services firms, universities, government organisations, foundations or other established institutions will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will be able to think beyond an individual logo or website and help create a cohesive brand system that can support Rethink Australia’s long-term growth.

The role is fully remote and designed to be flexible around professional commitments. An initial engagement of up to six months is anticipated, requiring approximately two to four hours per month.
