Do you love to sing and enjoy bringing people together through music?
RangeCare is seeking a volunteer to help establish and facilitate a community choir for RangeCare clients. Hosted at**, our Flaxton Social Centre**, this exciting new initiative has been inspired by client feedback, with many expressing an interest in singing together and enjoying the social, emotional, and wellbeing benefits that music can bring.
We're looking for someone with enthusiasm, creativity, and a passion for music who would like to help shape this program from the ground up. Whether you have experience leading choirs, singing in groups, teaching music, or simply enjoy sharing the joy of singing with others, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Duties
- Facilitate a welcoming and inclusive choir group
- Encourage participation and enjoyment among clients
- Select suitable songs for group singing
- Support participants of varying abilities and confidence levels
- Help create a fun, relaxed, and social environment
- Work alongside RangeCare team members to develop and grow the program
Skills and Experience
- A love of music and singing
- Confidence engaging with groups of people
- Reliability and a positive attitude
- Ability to encourage participation and build confidence in others
- Previous choir, singing, or musical experience is desirable but not essential

The Impact You'll Have
Singing has a unique ability to bring people together, lift spirits, spark memories, and create a sense of belonging. By helping establish a choir for RangeCare clients, you'll provide opportunities for connection, self-expression, confidence building, and enjoyment through music in a welcoming and supportive environment.
As this is a new initiative, we're keen to work collaboratively with a volunteer who can help shape what the choir could become. Sessions may initially be held monthly at our Flaxton Social Centre, with flexibility to grow and evolve based on client interest and participation.
