Op-Shop Volunteer

Join the Vestry Shop volunteer team at Uniting Queenscliff!

We're looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our small and welcoming community op-shop team. The Vestry Shop is part of Uniting Queenscliff, a community-focused church that provides a space for connection, creativity, events, volunteering and community activities in Queenscliff.

Volunteers help with the day-to-day running of the shop, including welcoming and assisting customers, sorting and displaying donated goods, keeping the shop tidy and inviting, pricing items, and helping with opening and closing.

No previous op-shop experience is necessary – we're looking for people who are friendly, community-minded and happy to have a go. Good communication, reliability and an ability to work cooperatively with others are helpful. Some tasks involve standing, lifting and moving items, so volunteers should be comfortable with the physical requirements of the role, or let us know if they need adjustments to participate safely.

Volunteering at the Vestry Shop is a great way to meet people, contribute to the local community, gain experience and have fun while doing something meaningful. You'll become part of a friendly volunteer team and help give donated goods a second life while supporting the wider work of Uniting Queenscliff.

We're particularly keen to welcome new volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you can commit to a regular shift or have some time to give occasionally, we'd love to hear from you.

All volunteers need a current Working With Children Check. If you don't already have one, we can discuss what's required.
