Board Director (Voluntary)

Access Sydney is seeking expressions of interest from candidates interested in joining the Board as voluntary Non-Executive Directors.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a respected community organisation that supports older people, people with disability and people who are transport disadvantaged to remain socially connected, independent and able to access essential services.
As a Board member, you will play an important role in guiding the organisation’s future through strong governance, strategic oversight and responsible stewardship. You will contribute to Board discussions, help monitor performance and risk, and support decisions that strengthen the organisation’s sustainability and community impact.
Directors are expected to commit for at least 12 months and to participate actively in monthly Board meetings and other workshops/meetings as required.
The Access Sydney Board provides governance, stewardship and strategic direction for the organisation on behalf of its members, in accordance with the Corporations Act 2001, the Company’s Constitution and all program and statutory regulatory requirements.
The Board’s key responsibilities include governance, legal and regulatory compliance, policy oversight, strategic planning, financial oversight, risk management and supporting the Chief Executive Officer and Access Sydney team to deliver on the organisation’s purpose.
