Volunteer Opportunities - Gwandalan Lions, Upper Central Coast

If you are seeking a volunteer opportunity in your local area to meet obligations we may be able to assist.

Our flagship weekly fundraising event is our Lions Shed 'rummage sale' where we primarily sell donated items to the local community from 7:30am to 11:00am. Activities we have at The Lions Shed on a Saturday morning are:

• Setting up from 6:30am (some volunteers start at this time);
• Preparing bread, cooking, or selling food and drink at the barbecue station;
• Sorting donated items that we receive on the day in the incoming donations area;
• Grouping and tidying items that are for sale;
• Pricing and helping to pack items at the cash register;
• Styling our two 'rooms' to be visually appealing;
• Assisting the public with general enquiries;
• Organising mobility items that we lend out to the community for free;
• Accompanying the Lions Van Coordinator to pick up and deliver items in the van; and
• Closing and storing items in our Sheds (some volunteers finish after 11am).

We also have mid-week activities and carry out ongoing 'behind the scenes' tasks to keep the Club operating smoothly. We love new ideas!
