Role Purpose
As our Event Photographer with Oot & Aboot, you will capture the magic of our Connect Outdoors event — a free, inclusive outdoor community event designed for LGBTQIA+ adults in Frankston who may never have camped before or who have never felt outdoor spaces were for them.
Your photos will tell the story of the day — documenting the joy, connection and community spirit of people experiencing a safe, affirming outdoor space, many for the very first time. Your images will be used for social media, community reporting, future grant applications, and Oot & Aboot's ongoing storytelling — directly helping us secure future funding and grow our programs for LGBTQIA+ Victorians.
A consent-based approach is essential — all participants must provide consent before being photographed, and you will be fully briefed on our photography consent process before the event day.
This is a one-off volunteer opportunity that makes a real and lasting difference to people in your local community.
What You’ll Do
- Arrive early to capture event setup and atmosphere
- Document participant arrivals, activities and connections throughout the day
