Threatened Species Day at Bibra Lake - Thursday 10th September

Join us on Threatened Species Day to learn about our threatened species at Bibra Lake and make an impact!

We'll start the day with a guided visit to WA Wildlife, where you'll discover some of Western Australia's unique native wildlife and learn about the threatened species that call our wetland and bushland ecosystems home. Through engaging presentations and up-close encounters with native animals, you'll gain an insight into challenges these species face and how conservation efforts are helping to protect them.

After the workshop, you'll roll up your sleeves for some hands-on weeding and seedling maintenance activities at our habitat rehabilitation site, doing your part to help preserve biodiversity and safeguard local threatened species.

Bibra Lake plays an essential role in our landscape. Not only is it part of the Beeliar Wetlands, which are internationally recognised for it's rich birdlife and diverse wildlife and plant communities. Like many wetlands, it also provides vital habitat and connectivity for native species, making it an important place for conservation and biodiversity.
