Events and / or Fundraising Coordinators

Role:
The Club Events &/or Fundraising  Coordinator is responsible for planning, delivering and promoting fundraising, social and community events, while managing all public relations, marketing and media activities. 

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

●      Convene and lead an Events & Fundraising Working Group.

●     Assist with Developing an annual fundraising and social events plans that aligned with club financial goals and calendar.

●      Generate increased income from existing fundraising sources and identify new opportunities.

●      Organise and roster team dinners/bake sales/BBQ for Junior teams with Team Managers.

●      Work with the Treasurer to define short and long-term fundraising needs and budgets for upcoming event.

●      Develop and present event budgets for Committee approval.

●      Recruit, support and manage event volunteers.

●      Oversee the planning, marketing, delivery and evaluation of fundraising and social events.

●      Supervise the collection, recording, and reconciliation of funds raised, ensuring Treasurer policies are followed.

●      Work with Social Media Coordinator to maximise the clubs’ social presences and events.

Skills and Attributes:

●      Excellent team management, motivation and coordination skills.

●      Strong communication, writing and presentation skills.

●      Good interpersonal and community engagement skills.

●      Experience in event management, promotions or PR is highly desirable but not essential.

●      Highly motivated, organised and proactive.
