Project Team Assistant (3625)

As a volunteer Team Assistant, you play a hands-on role in transforming an empty house into a welcoming home for a family in need. Join our team to assemble furniture, make beds, arrange kitchen and bathroom essentials, and add those special touches that make a family feel cared for. You may also help receive furniture deliveries and keep in touch with the Team Leader if anything comes up. There’s no paperwork involved—bring your enthusiasm and willingness to help!

Imagine being the reason a family or individual surviving domestic violence walks into a beautifully furnished and welcoming home. When a family arrives at a safe new beginning, you’ll know your dedication and teamwork made it possible. Along the way, you will meet people, have some fun, and build skills in project work, time management, and working directly with a support agency.

We support new volunteers every step of the way, starting with an induction and onboarding. You will meet our team of friendly volunteers at our Newcastle storage site.
