Italian-speaking Female Volunteer Visitor – Brunswick West
Are you a friendly, bubbly person who enjoys a good conversation and connecting with others?
MiCare is looking for an Italian-speaking female volunteer to provide regular social visits and companionship to an older lady living in Brunswick West, VIC.
She would love to be matched with someone who is warm, friendly, talkative and positive, and who can spend time chatting with her in Italian.
Your visits might include having a cup of coffee or tea together, sharing stories, talking about everyday life, or simply enjoying each other’s company.
Sometimes, a friendly conversation and a familiar face can make a meaningful difference. By visiting regularly, you can help reduce social isolation, strengthen social connection, and bring more companionship and enjoyment into her life.
About the commitment
We are looking for someone who can visit weekly or fortnightly and ideally commit to volunteering for at least six months.
This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity, and we hope to support you in building a genuine and lasting friendship with the person you visit.
As a MiCare volunteer, you will receive:
- Full training and induction
- Ongoing support from the MiCare team
- Reimbursement for eligible travel expenses
- Opportunities to attend volunteer catch-ups and events
