Ageing with Grace

We are looking for a warm, caring, and friendly Vietnamese-speaking volunteer to spend time with Thi, who would appreciate meaningful companionship, conversation, and connection.

Thi loves songs and music and would enjoy having someone to share these interests with. Speaking Vietnamese will help create a comfortable and familiar connection, allowing Thi to chat, reminisce, and enjoy time together in a language she knows and loves.

You might spend your time:

  • 🎵 Listening to Vietnamese songs and music together.
  • 🎶 Talking about favourite singers, songs, and memories connected to music.
  • ☕ Sharing a cup of tea or coffee and having a friendly conversation.
  • 💬 Listening to Thi's stories, memories, and experiences.
  • 😊 Singing along, having a laugh, and enjoying relaxed time together.
  • ❤️ Providing companionship, friendship, and a familiar cultural connection.

A friendly visit and shared love of music can make a meaningful difference to Thi's wellbeing. Sometimes, simply having someone to talk to, listen to music with, and share memories can brighten her day and help her feel more connected.

No previous volunteering experience is required. We are looking for someone who is caring, patient, reliable, and enjoys spending time with others.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Able to speak Vietnamese
  • Complete a National Police Check

You will receive ongoing training, guidance, and support from your Program Coordinator throughout your volunteering journey.

If you enjoy Vietnamese language, music, and meaningful conversation and would like to make a positive difference in Thi's life, we would love to hear from you.
