Social Support Volunteers needed Aged Care Home Willoughby

As part of the federally funded Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), we are seeking a compassionate, friendly volunteer to visit an older woman living in an aged care home within the Willoughby LGA.

She enjoys knitting, spending time in the garden, and having a good chat. As she uses a wheelchair, she would value the company of someone who can share conversation, friendship, and perhaps accompany her outdoors to enjoy the gardens.

This role is all about social connection and companionship, helping to reduce loneliness and bring joy to the resident's life. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one visit per fortnight on an ongoing basis, allowing a meaningful friendship and trust to develop over time.

No experience is necessary. If you are reliable, patient, caring, and willing to share a little of your time, we would love to hear from you. Training and ongoing support are provided.
