Grants Director
300 Blankets is a 100% volunteer‑run charity supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness through our Outreach and Soul Kitchen programs. We’re seeking a motivated and strategic Volunteer Grants Director to lead our Grants Team and help grow our impact across Melbourne.
About the Role
You’ll drive our grants strategy, lead a small team of volunteer writers, and ensure our funding pipeline supports the expansion of our programs.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Strategy & Planning
- Maintain the grants submission and acquittal calendar
- Lead the Annual Grants Application Plan
- Identify and assess grant opportunities aligned with our mission
- Liaise with funding bodies to determine feasibility
Team Leadership
- Manage and support the Grant Writing team
- Oversee the end‑to‑end grant writing process and document reviews
Governance & Reporting
- Manage the annual grants budget
- Develop grant management policies and procedures
- Track awards, disbursements, compliance and performance
- Prepare regular reports for the executive team
Collaboration
- Work with other departments to gather supporting information
- Align grant activities with organisational priorities
- Represent the Grants Team within the wider Management Team
