Social Support Volunteers needed Aged Care Home -Lane Cove North

As part of the federally funded Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), we are seeking a compassionate, friendly volunteer to visit an older woman living in an aged care home within the Lane Cove North.

She is an older woman living in residential aged care who enjoys art, craft, conversation, and spending time with others. She has a background in teaching and is Catholic. She uses a wheelchair and would enjoy being taken for walks outdoors, visiting a café next door, sitting near the playground to chat, playing dominoes, or enjoying craft activities together.

This role is all about social connection and companionship, helping to reduce loneliness and bring joy to the resident's life. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one visit per fortnight on an ongoing basis, allowing a meaningful friendship and trust to develop over time.

No experience is necessary. If you are reliable, patient, caring, and willing to share a little of your time, we would love to hear from you. Training and ongoing support are provided.
