A Cuppa, a Chat and a Friendly Face for Pam*

Pam* is in her 70s and lives independently in the Cessnock area. While she occasionally receives visits from family, she would welcome the company of a regular volunteer visitor and the opportunity to build a genuine friendship.
Pam loves spending time with her friendly dog and talking about her grandchildren, who are a very important part of her life. She enjoys relaxed conversation and would appreciate someone to share a cuppa and a catch-up with each week or fortnight.
A visit doesn't need to involve anything complicated. Sitting together over coffee or tea, chatting about family, pets, local happenings or everyday life could become something Pam genuinely looks forward to.
Pam is currently waiting for additional support services to commence and would benefit from having more regular connection and companionship in the meantime.
We're particularly interested in hearing from female volunteers of any age who enjoy meeting new people, listening and building friendships over time.
Friendship often begins with something as simple as a conversation.
As a Wesley volunteer, you'll receive:
- Ongoing support from your Wesley Volunteer Coordinator
- A carefully considered match with an older person
- Training and guidance to help you get started
- Invitations to volunteer recognition and celebration events
If you can spare an hour a week, or an hour a fortnight, we'd love to hear from you.
A regular visit, a friendly conversation and a shared cuppa could become the highlight of Pam's week.
