Aged Care Volunteer Visitor - Multiple locations
Advertised by Volunteering Central CoastMany older people on the Central coast are living alone, have limited social connections or no longer receive regular visitors. Through Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors, you can spend just one hour a week, or a fortnight, building a genuine friendship with an older person living at home or in residential aged Care. You'll be thoughtfully matched with someone who shares similar interests, hobbies or life experiences. Over time, a simple conversation can grow into a meaningful connection built on trust, companionship and shared stories. Whether you're chatting over a cup of Tea, sharing a laugh, taking a walk, enjoying a shared hobby or simply spending time together, your visits can become something they genuinely look forward to.
Could you be the highlight of someone's week? No Special skills or experience are required. We're looking for kind, reliable volunteers who enjoy connecting with others and can commit to regular visits over time. As a Wesley Volunteer, you'll receive:
• A carefully considered match with an older person • Training and guidance to help you get started • Ongoing support from your Wesley Volunteer Coordinator • Invitations to volunteer recognition and celebration events
The best friendships often begin with a simple conversation.
If you can spare an hour a week, we'd love to hear from you.
