Position Overview

• Role: Volunteer Human Resources Director
• Time Commitment: Part-time (you tell us! We would be grateful for at least 3 to 5 hours per week)
• Location: Remote / Flexible
• Type: Unpaid Volunteer Role

About Us

• We are Northern Sydney Community Transport Group (NSCTG) and have been built from the merger of Stryder Limited and Lower North Shore Community Transport Inc. (LNSCT), trading as Community Connect Transport.
• Our transport services are provided by experienced drivers of cars and buses for purposes such as medical appointments, shopping, social outings, and other trips and activities.  Both Stryder and LNSCT are registered aged care providers.
• NSCTG is an independent business serving clients, carers and organisations across Sydney’s northern suburbs.  Our geographical areas currently include the local government areas of Ryde, Hunters Hill, Lane Cove, Wiloughby, North Sydney and Mosman. NSCTG has an office in Crows Nest.
• Our team works hard for our local community.
• We need expert HR guidance and help to support our wonderful staff and volunteers.

Role Duties

• Build and update staff policies and procedures, and HR documentation.
• Help refine our recruitment and onboarding procedures.
• Guide team members on best practices.
• Create a positive and safe workplace culture.
• Advise leaders on people management.

What We Need

• Senior experience in human resources management.
• HR and IR experience with workforce management and documentation.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Passion for community service and our mission.
• Ability to work well on an independent team.
