Cancer Council WA provides two residential accommodation lodges in Perth—Milroy Lodge in Shenton Park and Crawford Lodge in Nedlands, offering self-contained accommodation for regional cancer patients and their carers while they undergo treatment in the metropolitan area. We are seeking a Gardener to assist with gardening duties at Milroy Lodge and Crawford Lodge. The Role
- General maintenance and upkeep of gardens and grounds.
- Watering, planting, weeding and pruning of gardens.
- Attend a volunteer induction and any role-related training.
- Participate in an annual reflection and team meetings.
Requirements
- Follow CCWA SunSmart Recommendations to protect from solar UV radiation (cover up, use sunscreen, wear a hat and sunglasses and seek shade where possible).
- Be mindful of the distress of a cancer diagnosis and use a sensitive approach.
- Understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA.
- Respect for diversity.
- Positive attitude to the workplace.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
