Yalari provides life-changing boarding school scholarships and lifelong support to Indigenous students from regional and remote Australia. We warmly invite our Queensland community to join us as a volunteer at the Brisbane Gala Dinner on Friday 11 September 2026 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The Brisbane Gala Dinner is one of Yalari's premier fundraising events, bringing together supporters, corporate partners, donors, alumni and students for an inspiring evening celebrating the power of education and opportunity. Funds raised help support Indigenous students on their educational and leadership journeys. As a volunteer, you will be at the heart of the event, helping create a memorable experience for our guests while directly supporting Yalari's mission. Volunteer roles may include:
- Greeting and directing guests
- Assisting with silent auctions and raffles
- Supporting prize coordination
- Providing general event assistance
- Helping with event pack-down at the conclusion of the evening
No previous experience is required. We welcome individuals, families, friends and workplace groups who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of Indigenous young people.
