Hokkien-Speaking Volunteer Needed — Bexley
We’re looking for a warm, caring Hokkien-speaking volunteer to spend time with an older person living in a residential care facility in Bexley.
For an older person, hearing a familiar language and being able to share stories about family, culture and life can mean so much.
一杯茶，一句話，一份陪伴。
A cup of tea, a conversation and a little companionship can make a big difference.
What Could You Do Together?
- Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and chat in Hokkien
- Share stories, memories and family experiences
- Listen to music or enjoy favourite hobbies
- Take a gentle walk and enjoy some fresh air
- Laugh, reminisce and simply spend time together
有時間來陪伴，就能帶來溫暖。
Your time can bring warmth and connection.
No previous volunteering experience is needed. We’re simply looking for someone who is kind, reliable, respectful and willing to listen.
Volunteer Requirements
- Be 18 years or older
- Speak Hokkien
- Complete a National Police Check
- Visit weekly or fortnightly
You’ll receive training, guidance and ongoing support from your Program Coordinator.
