The Volunteer Interviewer supports VNQ Referral process by conducting structured, fair and respectful interim interviews with prospective volunteers, on behalf of VNQ members. The role helps ensure candidates are assessed consistently against the relevant position requirements, while providing a positive and professional candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities • Conduct interviews with prospective candidates in person, by phone or via video conference. • Prepare for interviews by reviewing expression of interest and on line referral. • Use agreed record of interview forms and assessment criteria consistently. • Ask appropriate follow-up questions to clarify candidates’ skills, experience, motivations and suitability. • Take accurate and objective interview notes. • Maintain confidentiality of candidate information and interview discussions. • Treat all candidates fairly, respectfully and without discrimination or bias. • Escalate any concerns or issues arising during an interview to the appropriate staff member. • Participate in interviewer briefings or debriefing sessions as required. • Comply with the organisation’s policies, procedures, privacy requirements and code of conduct. • Represent the organisation positively and professionally throughout the recruitment process.
