About Livingwater Care Foundation

Livingwater Care Foundation (LCF) is a newly established not-for-profit humanitarian organisation supporting refugees living with disabilities overseas.

As LCF continues to develop its programs and organisational capacity, we are seeking a passionate and capable Grants & Funding Development Volunteer to help us identify funding opportunities and strengthen our readiness for grants and other sources of funding.

About the Role

This is a meaningful volunteer opportunity for someone interested in grant research, funding development, fundraising, NFP development or humanitarian work.

You will help LCF build a stronger and more organised approach to funding by researching suitable opportunities, tracking deadlines and helping prepare information and documents required for funding applications.

You will work with the LCF leadership and contribute your own skills and ideas. You will not be expected to secure funding independently or guarantee successful grant outcomes.

Key Areas of Support

Depending on your skills and experience, your contribution may include:

  • Researching suitable grants, foundations, trusts and other funding opportunities
  • Identifying opportunities that align with LCF's mission and activities
  • Reviewing basic eligibility requirements and application guidelines
  • Maintaining a simple funding opportunities and deadlines register
  • Helping LCF identify what information or documents may be needed before applying
  • Assisting with the preparation of grant applications, funding proposals and supporting documents
  • Helping strengthen LCF's grant readiness and organisational information
  • Researching potential longer-term funding opportunities
  • Sharing ideas and recommendations to help LCF develop a sustainable approach to funding

The role will be flexible, and the scope can be adapted according to your skills, experience and availability.

Who We Are Looking For

We would love to hear from people with experience or interest in:

  • Grant writing or grant research
  • Fundraising or funding development
  • NFP or charity development
  • Community development
  • Humanitarian or social-impact work
  • Research, proposal writing or business development

We welcome experienced professionals, retired professionals, students or emerging professionals who are passionate about using their skills to support a growing humanitarian organisation.

Previous grant experience is highly valued, but you do not need to have extensive experience. A genuine interest in learning, research skills, good writing ability and commitment to LCF's mission are also important.

Commitment

This is a flexible volunteer role. The time commitment can be discussed based on your availability and current LCF funding priorities.

We are looking for someone who can contribute consistently and work collaboratively, rather than committing to a fixed or excessive number of hours.

Important Note

This role is focused on research, preparation and funding development support. The volunteer will not be expected to independently make financial decisions, handle LCF funds, guarantee grant success or make financial commitments on behalf of LCF.

How to Apply

If you are interested in supporting Livingwater Care Foundation, please email [email protected] with:

  • A brief CV outlining your relevant experience, skills or background
  • A short statement explaining why you are interested in volunteering with LCF
  • A brief description of any previous grant, fundraising, NFP, humanitarian, research or proposal-writing experience, if applicable
  • Your general availability and the level of commitment you would be comfortable with

We particularly welcome people who are passionate about humanitarian work, interested in helping a growing NFP, and able to contribute their skills in a flexible and collaborative way.
