Midland Meals Inc

Advertised by Volunteering WA

Our Kitchen Support Volunteers play an important role in helping prepare food for community meal services. Working alongside a supportive team, volunteers assist with simple food preparation tasks and packing supplies ready for distribution. Tasks may include:

  • Heating prepared meals and pies
  • Making sandwiches and food packs
  • Packing supplies for meal services
  • Basic kitchen cleaning and organisation
  • Assisting team leaders with meal preparation activities

No previous experience is required. Full training and support will be provided. This is a rewarding opportunity to:

  • Make a direct difference in the lives of people experiencing hardship
  • Meet new people and become part of a welcoming team
  • Learn practical food preparation and food safety skills
  • Support a local charity providing essential food relief services

For safety and hygiene reasons, volunteers must wear fully enclosed shoes and tie back long hair. Volunteers will need to complete a free online Food Safety Course after joining the team.

Whether you can help regularly or occasionally, your contribution will help ensure nutritious meals reach people who need them most.

Availability This volunteer opportunity is available each afternoon, 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
